Freeform jade sculpture mounted on a rimu base (IN0014)

Sanded and polished by free hand from New Zealand inanga jade, this sculpture is of rare gem grade quality and mimics jadeite. Originally from the Russell Beck collection this piece has extraordinary provinance, is of significant size and peak gemmological properties. A freeform sculpture such as this is uncommon and therefore a high-value display piece. The colourations are soft spring greens washing out to pale green creams. From the Arahura River region. Very rare.
