Carved and polished by free hand from New Zealand kokopu jade, this sculpture is truly impressive. Highly valuable and structurally massive this is a visual expression of freeform jade art. Its distinctive colouring ranges from olive green to passive green and hints of golden brown. The stone is heavily peppered with brown and reddish spots mimicking the skin pattern of the trout. Displayed on a solid hardwood plinth and supported by brass fingers this piece is ideal as a centrepiece for a gallery, garden or large domestic or commercial space.
