Jade Dolphin Bowl

The dolphin bowl is a striking example of freeform jade sculpturing. The raw stone is believed to have been collected many years ago from the Arahura River, South Island of New Zealand and sculptured by a master carver in Hokitika. Originally a long flat stone the artist-carver has allowed the shape of the raw stone to determine the outcome. The bowl exudes layers of stunning greens with chatoyant whilst the edges and bottom remain in a natural state thus retaining the stones original integrity. A dominant centre piece in any setting.
